Our client’s old software solution used a predefined set of rules in order to detect potential fraud activity based on data from the insurance claim. These rules took hours to be applied resulting in extremely low performance.
They needed to execute over 150 rules and create an output score that indicates the probability of fraudulent activity for that claim. With over 1000 claims processed a day, it could take in excess of 8 hours to get these scores.
